Cleaning basics
Most types of paint, rust and other corrosion, oil contamination, grease, and both organic and inorganic residues. The laser energy is absorbed by the contamination and ablates it, while the base material underneath stays intact.
Metals are the core use case. Stone, brick, concrete and wood clean well at reduced power, while glass and heat-sensitive plastics need careful testing first — send us a sample. The material's reaction to the beam is always considered, and parameters are matched to its tolerance for the best result.
Cleaning machines and tools, removing paint and coatings, removing rust and corrosion, preparing surfaces for welding, and cleaning weld seams. It is also ideal for restoring artworks, monuments, facades and public surfaces.
With the right settings, the beam lifts the contamination without cutting into the sound metal beneath, so the base material is not damaged. If the device is set incorrectly for the material, it can leave deeper marks — so correct settings for each material are essential.
No chemicals, no chemical agents, no abrasive tools — an environmentally friendly and economical solution. In most cases it does not damage the surface and needs no post-treatment. It is highly mobile, easy to control and precise, even on complex or hard-to-reach areas.
Machine & operation
Parameters are set through a 7.5-inch graphical touchscreen (HMI) interface.
Laser power in 1 W increments; pulse frequency 0–50,000 Hz in 1 Hz steps; pulse duty cycle 0–100%; scan frequency up to 100 Hz; scan line width 0.1–80 mm with a 600 mm focusing lens.
The BWT source is rated for up to 100,000 operating hours — decades of normal use — provided you follow the recommendation not to run continuously above 80% power. Actual life depends on how hard and how often the machine is used.
Yes. It is essential to use personal protective equipment during operation, especially protective eyewear with the appropriate wavelength-filtering capability (1064 nm).
Installation & power
The GM Mini 1500W runs from standard 230 V AC, 50 Hz single-phase power — no industrial three-phase supply needed. It works in an ordinary European workshop. US/Canada customers need a 230 V supply (e.g. a NEMA 6-20/6-30 circuit) — ask us and we'll advise.
It depends on the output power setting, ambient temperature and intensity of use. The rated maximum for the 1500 W machine is 6 kW.
The 1500 W machine runs safely on a C20A breaker when limited to 1000 W output; for full-power operation a C32A breaker is recommended.
Buying, testing & shipping
Yes. Every device can be viewed and tested before purchase. We can provide sample materials, or you can test on your own. If you cannot come in person, you can send individual workpieces to us — our technician processes them to your requirements, and on request we prepare video footage together with the returned samples.
